The museum of the holy shrine of Hadrath Masoumah (A.S.) in Qum is one of the unique treasures in Iran.
Before the establishment of the museum, the exquisite objects of the holy shrine were preserved in a place called as the Khazanah (treasury). The exquisite objects and articles endowed to the holy shrine were preserved in this place. In the year 1935, the gallery of the museum was inaugurated and carried its activity till 1964 when for the purpose of the expansion of the holy shrine the museum was transferred to the other part of the holy shrine. The new building of the museum was inaugurated on 10th July, 1993 on a grand scale.
The present new building has two floors, which occupies a space area of one thousand sq. metres. It has different sections for the exhibition galleries, office and museum workshop. In this museum workshop the preservation of the old manuscripts are carried out. The museum is located in the square of the holy shrine.
